Stunning SUKA is an amazingly sweet girl. Her gentle quiet demeanor make her a more pleasant companion many other huskies we've known. She is a Woof River volunteer favorite! SUKA is both beautiful and graceful. She walks nicely on leash and would make a great walking and hiking buddy. That being said, she isn't a dog who requires an avid walker. She is not your typical high energy husky goofball. Her time in the backyard typically consists or strolling, trotting slowly, or sunning rather than sprinting around.
SUKA is excellent with both big AND small dogs! Another trait that makes her an exceptional husky is she is fantastic with indoor kitty cats! She shares her foster home with a large dog and 2 kitties, but she has met countless pups on play dates. SUKA is quite well behaved for her young age (a year to 18 months old). She has never pottied in the house and does well lounging in her crate while her foster mom is at work.
SUKA displays her affection by giving soft kisses and sitting by your feet. She isn't pushy when she wants attention. She can self entertain playing with her ball or another toy. SUKA rides wonderfully in the car and would be a great travelling companion. If you want this pretty girl to join your family, submit your application today!
***During her time with us, she has never been the only dog in the house so we aren't sure if she would have anxiety home alone as an only pup. However, if you work from home or are retired this wouldn't apply.
***Unless you have family history of dog ownership and can provide family vet contact information, SUKA will not be available for first time dog owners.***
SUKA is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
Her $300 adoption fee includes her transport after she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
