Shane's Info...

Shane's Story...
I am one hunk of a dog, a stunning piece of canine if I may say so myself. Just look at this grill! Is this not the best-lookin’ face around? And check out these pecs! Did you see my beefy glutes? Sure, I spend a lot of time at the gym; a young guy’s gotta keep up his physique. But don’t act like I’m just some meathead…this big ol’ heart of mine is just as impressive as my handsome face and muscular body! I just LOVE people, children, too, but let’s be sure they are sturdy enough to handle my exuberant self! I even do well with other dogs—truth is, I’m just a big baby still. Kitty cats are just too fun for me to leave alone, so a home without the furry critters is a must. I am crate trained already, but I would really like to know more about good manners and basic obedience… Maybe you can teach me!? I’m one very sweet hunk with a well-balanced temperament… I would look fabulous at the end of your leash!
18 months old-70lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shane, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
