My name is Blackbeard. Im an 11 year young, neutered male. Im extremely shy, and I hide from everyone, and everything. A calm, quiet household would suit me best. Im a very sweet guy, who keeps to myself, but will engage in gentle petting, and soft talking. I get along fine with other cats, but no children please, as they seem to scare me.If your looking to form a strong bond with an older gentleman, who just needs time to adjust to a new setting, please come and meet me. My sweet demeanor will not disappoint you.

About Humane Society of Harford County

About Our Shelter...

The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc., located in Fallston, Maryland, is a non-profit, open-admission animal support organization dedicated to providing shelter and care to the homeless, abandoned and abused animals of Harford County. We provide a safe and healthy temporary shelter and seek loving, permanent homes to ensure the long-term welfare of the animals we serve. Through education and advocacy, we promote the humane treatment of companion animals and work toward reducing, and ultimately eliminating, pet overpopulation in the county through low-cost spay and neuter programs.

We have welcomed more than 300,000 animals since 1946 and provide service to the community in conjunction with animal control to safeguard public health and safety. We strive to promote the special bond between humans and their companion pets in securing forever homes for our animals.

The Humane Society of Harford County serves nearly 4,000 animals each year. The animals include dogs, cats, ponies, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons, lizards, snakes, spiders, iguanas, turtles, ducks, turkeys, chickens, goats and pigs, to name a few. The majority of the animals we receive are cats (and kittens) and dogs (and puppies).
