Adoption Fees Range from $10.00-$45.00 and include sterilization and rabies inoculation. Upon adoption approval and payment (cash/check only) adopted animal will be scheduled a local vet appointment and will have to stay overnight at the vet. Adopter picks up new addition to their family directly from the local vet.

Hardee County Animal Control was formed in 1995 to promote responsible pet ownership, provide adoption services for strays in our care, enforce FL State Statues, reduce pet over-population and reunite lost animals with their owners. We are a small rural government run open admission shelter.

We are located at 685 Airport Road, Wauchula, FL 33873.
Visiting & Adoption Hours: 10:00-3:00 Monday-Friday & 10:00-12:00 on Saturday.
Administrative Hours: 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday, closed daily from 12:00-1:00 for lunch.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoptions range from $10.00-$45.00. We can only accept cash or checks at this time. To begin the adoption process please complete & return an adoption application to us. Adoption applications can be found on our website at www.hardeecounty.net/ac.htm Upon adoption approval and payment we will schedule spay/neuter & vaccinations.
