Lovely Lilly’s rescue tale began when her owner was incarcerated. Animal Services confiscated Lilly and she was placed on legal hold at the shelter. We can only assume her owner was not released from jail because Lilly was not claimed. The shelter contacted Boston Buddies and our volunteer headed south to bail out this adorable 9 year old, 21 lbs. spayed BT Cutie! This saga starts kind of sad, but now that she is safe with Boston Buddies, we are working towards her happy ending. Lilly has been to the vet, is now up to date on all of her vaccines, heartworm and fecal tested (both negative), has had her teeth cleaned (and 8 teeth extracted!) and has even been to the eye doctor and got some drops to help her dry irritated eyes. The clues we are piecing together of Lilly’s past paint of picture of a little dog left out in the yard with a bowl of kibble - no one taking her on walks, playing fetch or allowing her inside to snuggling on the couch. Her crinkled up ear tells a story of a hematoma left untreated and her mouth full of rotten teeth means she has not had proper vet care for years, if ever. Heartbreaking to think of her spending her life in a “backyard jail”. Guess karma has come back to bite her previous owner in the butt! Through all of this, Lilly holds no ill will …just like the song says… Lilly is going to “Let It Go…she is never going back, the past is in the past”. She is looking only looking forward to her bright future! Each day in her foster home her sweet & silly personality shines through. She has learned how to use the doggie door & has not had any potty accidents. Lilly currently lives with multiple fur siblings and is getting accustomed to the family life. Spring is here and just like the flower she was named after, Lilly is ready to blossom! If interested in adopting Lilly, the first step is to complete an adoption application @ www.bostonbuddies.org Adoption Donation is $200.00

About Boston Buddies Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Boston Buddies is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing Boston Terriers who are abandoned, neglected or abused and placing them in permanent, loving homes. Our ultimate purpose is to match homeless or potentially homeless Boston Terriers with loving, permanent families specifically interested in the breed. We do not have a brick and mortar kennel facility. Instead, we provide our rescue dogs with temporary foster care in private homes located throughout Southern California where we can assess their personality and preferences. All of our dogs are examined by a vet and provided all necessary medical treatment, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and put on heartworm preventative.

Boston Buddies is always looking for volunteers to help with shelter checks, transport and foster home care. We invite you to visit our website – www.bostonbuddies.org

Our Adoption Process...

Boston Buddies adopts its dogs to loving and caring homes located in Southern California. We do not place our dogs in homes with children under the age of eight. The first step in adopting a Boston Buddy is to submit an Adoption Application which can be downloaded at our website, www.bostonbuddies.org. After a home visit with one of our volunteers and approval of the Application we will arrange meetings with dogs that will be compatible with the approved adopter. An Adoption Application and Adoption Fee is required, as well as follow up visits.
