My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ROCKY WAS EUTHANIZED 11-10-17 - BITING ISSUES - FELT TO BE UNSOLVABLE

Nice to meet you! My name is Rocky!

I’m a 6-year old male Schnauzer who is up-to-date on shots, neutered, micro-chipped, and house trained. I also just had a dental and my teeth are in great shape. I’m also good on a leash and a ‘perfect angel’ in the car.

What is a cutie like me doing in rescue? I was adopted as a puppy by a 95-year old man and he recently passed away at 102 so now I’m looking for a new family.

I’m kind of a serious and sensitive guy but I love to be petted on my head and will snuggle on the couch with you. I have the best upward dog my foster parents have seen. I especially love when you do savasana in yoga so I can lay on top of you!

I don’t like getting picked up or petted on my stomach. I can jump great on the bed and couch though. I can be a bit of a growler and have snapped before if there’s something I don’t like or my boundaries are pushed. Therefore, I need a home without children. My foster parents are working on it and I spent some time with a dog trainer when I came in. I do get along with other dogs just fine!

I have glaucoma and require eye drops twice a day (morning and evening). I take the drops like a champ, the vet says they are doing their job, and I don’t have a problem seeing.

My foster parents are Jim and Kristy in Cincinnati. They say, “Rocky is a sweetheart. He would do best in a quieter home with people who are willing to keep working with him. You won’t regret giving Rocky a loving home!”

Rocky would be best suited in a home with a fenced yard.

My fee is $275.
