Meet Nikki. Nikki is quiet, sweet senior black lab cross. She's a mellow gal, not needy. She gets along with other dogs and seems okay around cats so far. Nikki would love nothing more than to become part of a loving, nurturing family and have a warm, soft, comfortable home to curl up and call her own. In turn she will become your steadfast companion. Please consider this deserving girl. Her birth year is January 2005 and her weight is around 55 lbs. She'll be keeping her paws crossed that you'll call soon. If interested, please contact RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Thank you.

Please note we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

About Smiling Dog Farms - Sandy Hook, CT

About Our Rescue Group...

Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.

Our sanctuary dogs that have been deemed “unadoptable” because they have bitten someone, or have other behavioral challenges, have a safe home with us for their lifetime and are also up to date on shots, sterilized and on heartworm prevention.

Our Adoption Process...

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
