Meet Chiquita. She's smart as a whip, great with other dogs and people, not a barker, doesn't dig, and never plays her music too loud! She learns very easily and is an absolute delight who is loving life with her foster family, who describes her personality as 'perfect.' She's not currently living with any cats, but her shelter paperwork noted she was ok with them. We don't have any way, at the moment, to test her with them, though. Her favorite thing to do is to please her handler and she pays very close attention to everything that's going on to ensure she's always ready for direction. She's a medium size Shepherd so she can fit in anywhere. We think she's about 5 years old with lots of good years ahead of her!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
