My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. Atlas
Born 1/4/2014, M, Brown Rosette Bengal

Our organization received a plea for help finding magnificent Atlas, a Bengal, sn appropriate new home. The information provided by Atlas’ current owners clearly indicates that they treasure him, which is why they came to us to help find him a home where he is equally treasured. He will need owners that have more time and are experienced with the care and needs of the very engaging Bengal breed. Here is what they want you to know about this cat:

Atlas is a wonderful, fun, active, silly, and playful cat – and at times, very sweet. They love him tremendously. Atlas has done *nothing* wrong. Unfortunately, he is miserably bored and showing signs of depression.

Like most Bengals, he wants to play and be entertained several hours of every day. He lives with them in a very small apartment in San Francisco. They bought every cat toy and worked with two cat whisperers. But it’s become clear that the two of them, especially working full-time, are simply not enough for his active disposition.

He is very active, curious, playful, vocal. He really likes people. Though he is not really cuddly nor a lap cat, he is very sweet when he first wakes up.

He LOVES playing with toys, hide and seek, and being chased. He can play for hours.

He enjoys people – will happily watch and participate in any activity (e.g., watching his human pack for a trip).

He will nip and scratch if you play with your hands or if you walk by him and he’s excited, so you’ll have to watch that behavior.

Atlas likes to lie in the sunshine (not currently possible due to the urban apartment). He enjoys watching birds and squirrels.

If he is bored, he will chew cables (another adopter had the same issue with her Bengal so she covered all the wires and cables with protective tubing).

He is an indoor cat, but would absolutely LOVE a catio.

Their ideal new home for their beloved cat is one where he has daily play time, activity(s) to watch, e.g., birds and people. Areas to climb or climbing walls are a must. They believe Atlas would greatly benefit from a larger home with more room to run and play, lots of people and activity, exposure to direct sunlight, and a catio to watch birds and squirrels.

They also think a pre-teen child who would enjoy Atlas’ fun personality would be a bonus, and a feline (or perhaps canine) companion so he can exercise his Bengal prowess and have a buddy to romp around with.

He uses his litterbox without any issues.

If you are up to this task and are familiar with the engaging Bengal breed, please consider giving this magnificent boy a permanent home. Contact Frauke at 925-784-8244 or email at loveallcats7@gmail.com and submit an Adoption Application.

Please note that Atlas is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his owner in San Francisco, CA while being placed in his permanent home.
