My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These adorable kittens (Elliott & Olivia) were brought to the HSOV on July 3, 2017 with a tragic story and surely had several guardian angels watching over them...

They were approximately 2-weeks old, un-weaned, and just beginning to open their eyes when their mother was struck and killed by an automobile. Their owner brought them and two siblings to the shelter with little hopes of survival. We took quick photos of the four tiny kittens and posed them with a desperate plea for someone who could bottle-feed them. Fortunately the kittens' first guardian angel contacted us and said she had a nursing mother cat whom she hoped would accept them. The kittens' next guardian angels were our HSOV Cat Kennel Tech (Rennelle Casto) and HSOV Humane Officer (Jon McIntire) who offered to meet the new foster mother at 10pm that evening to transfer the kittens to her care.

One of the kittens did not survive in spite of the best efforts of everyone and he passed away on July 22nd :( The remaining three survived (and thrived) and were eating kitten chow within 3-4 weeks. Two of the kittens came back to the HSOV on August 6th (and not surprising) the third kitten stayed with her foster family and will be adopted when she is spayed.

Those two kittens stayed in our shelter just one night and went home with their next guardian angel who took them home to foster :) She named them Elliott & Olivia and they are pictured here :)

Elliott is an adorable buff tabby boy with white markings on his chest/paws. His cute little sister (Olivia) has a pale tabby coat. They are both happy, playful, socialized youngsters who enjoy life to the fullest.

Elliott & Olivia are available for rescue only at the present time since they are too tiny to be spayed/neutered.

Elliott & Olivia were both combo tested on August 20, 2017 and are negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

These siblings left our shelter on September 14 2017 en-route to their new home in Michigan. We have included an updated photo of each of them which was taken shortly before they left on transport.
