My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy y'all! Meet my "little" buddy Linx! Linx is a 6 month old Coonhound mix (or is he a baby giraffe?) who was found as a stray in southern IN along with his brother, Tucker. He is tall, lanky, very underweight, has huge feet, and is very very scared and timid. He relied on his brother, who was the adventurous one, for safety and security when he was sent to a high kill shelter down south. When Rover Rescue brought him up for me to foster, he was terribly scared and it took me about a half a pound of lunch meat to get him to trust me. Now he sticks to me like glue and sleeps on the floor right next to my bed at night. We're working on walking on a leash and he's coming along quite nicely but still likes to pull when he sees a rabbit, bird, or chipmunk. He's terrified of my cat and knows to leave her alone. He's gotten along with every dog he has met so far, which there have been many. He's very submissive and the most lovable guy you'll ever meet. He will need lots of work on building his confidence and learning manners and the basics -- which we're slowly working on. Since I've had him he has had no accidents in the house. He has shown no signs of nuisance barking yet, but he does need to learn counter surfing is not a sport he should participate in. He's slowly learning to play with toys and he found out he really likes to chew on bones. He is a dog that should be trained with positive reinforcement as any sign of anger makes him shut down. He rides in my car like a champ and just lays down in the back seat. I do have to put him in myself but he's learning to get out by himself. He needs lots of love and patience! He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all shots. His adoption fee is $225 and includes a month of free pet insurance. Please call Judy at 913-481-1752 if you would like to meet this big, beautiful boy.
