I know I may look like an average black kitty but I have a personality all my own.  If you take time to let me adjust to you and my surroundings, you’ll find I can be quite the lover when I come out at night after the house is nice and quiet.  You see, I’m a little bit timid and quick movements, loud noises, and such like the kids make in my current home have me hiding out till all is calm.  That’s when I like to snuggle, purr, and do the “paw-paw” on your lap!  I’ve even been known to play fetch with hair rubber bands!  My owners love me but know their house will never be the quiet place I crave so they’d love to find me a great home where my personality can really blossom.  I am scared of dogs and other cats too because of all the noise and fast moves.  I am litter trained, indoor only, and would make a wonderful lap kitty for someone with a less active household! I am 3 years old and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

About Second Chance Companions

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1993, Second Chance Companions is a 501(c) 3 non-profit pet organization dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area.

We are a humane, no-kill organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.

Although we do not run an independent shelter, we feed, care for, adopt out, and spay & neuter as many animals as possible. In addition, we educate the community and are always seeking volunteers and resources that help us to accomplish our mission.

We have a small number of foster homes available, but also work with private owners who keep their pets while looking for homes for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have cats available for adoption all the time at the Vancouver Plaza and Gresham Petsmarts.

We also have adoption events most every weekend and often during the week too. See all of our currently scheduled events at:
