Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Junebug is the sweetest bug you will ever meet, despite having a bit of a rough beginning to life. Because of her rough start, she can be a little hand shy and skittish. She absolutely needs someone who is willing to take it slow with her as she gets comfortable. But once she trusts you and opens up, she is the sweetest, most affectionate gal. Everyone who meets her is instantly smitten. She will make someone a great buddy dog, as long as that someone is a person who is ready to put the time in to show her that the world isn't so intimidating.
She's been working hard on acclimating to the world, learning how to walk on leash, house breaking, socializing with other dogs, meeting new people, etc. She likes most dogs and would be happy to live with another mellow dog. She could also live with a cat with a slow and structured integration. Because of her being a little hand shy, we will only place her with kids 12+.
She does have allergies that can be managed by diet. Like most dogs, as she gets healthier and her immune system gets stronger, her body will probably to handle more, but right now its very important that an adopter knows that they will have to be careful about managing what she eats as to avoid any flare ups, which can be severe.
