My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you would like more information about Rookie or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to CRK7800@gmail.com

About 3 years ago Rookie appeared in our neighborhood without a collar or chip. He was big and healthy, but had fleas and ticks. He had not been neutered at that time. We already had three dogs of our own and were also fostering dogs. We placed him into an adoption program and continued to foster him. But we quickly fell in love with Rookie’s sweet personality and decided to adopt him ourselves.

Over the years, we lost one dog to old age and gained two more from our rescue work. So, we currently have five of our own dogs and still actively foster. Rookie does just fine with the adult foster dogs but is not a fan of the foster puppies.

Given that we already have too many dogs and Rookie is by far the largest (80 LBS), we want to find Rookie a more ideal home. Rookie is very much a people dog. He loves his food, walks, treats and attention. He would happily let you brush and pet him for hours. Unfortunately, because we have so many dogs, Rookie does not often get all the attention he would like.
