Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sharkie came to a shelter with multiple injuries to his face and a lower jaw fracture. The shelter wired his lower jaw and he was transferred to the rescue. As he was healing it was apparent that he was hand shy, he would flinch when someone moved towards his face. Sharkie also was terrified when you pull him away from you. No one knows what happened to his face, the shelter said possibly he was hit by a car and our vet said possibly he was thrown with force. His jaw has healed now, his face just seems a little askew. Sharkie is not aware that he looks a little different!
Sharkie is incredibly playful with his foster siblings. At first he was unsure of the other kitties but after some time he realized they were lots of fun! Sharkie loves chasing around tiny stuffed toys. He enjoys chasing his foster siblings around and wrestling with them. Sharkie really loves full body massages too, just don't start with his face he can still get nervous. He loves to lounge in your lap while you pet him.
Sharkie is excellent with cats and is great with small dogs, he would really love to have a buddy. Sharkie would thrive in a home without young children due to his past. Sharkie does attend adoption events on Saturdays from 11:00a-3:00p at Fountain Valley Pet Supply 18545 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708.
