Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Acquired : 5.16.17 Adopted : AVAILABLE Inara's story: Inara is a 3 year old (born 4.1.14) spayed female Akita. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Inara comes to us after being adopted by a family who did not realize the extent of her medical needs. They got her from another person, and, upon meeting her, discovered not the healthy dog advertised, but an emaciated skeleton. They cared for her as best they could, but she was diagnosed with Endocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), and they felt it was more than they were prepared to handle. This is a manageable disease, which basically causes her to be unable to digest food. Given the proper enzymes at each meal, Inara will still live a long, happy life. She wants to play with other dogs, but can be a little rough in her excitement. She would be happy as an only pet or with the right large, mellow male dog.
