Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Claire is an approximately three to four year old Maltese/Poodle mix. She was literally found in a trash bag in a box in the garbage in New York!
She was terrified and in bad shape with a mangled back leg.
Our Executive Director's daughter stepped in when the people that found her wanted to drop her at a shelter. Claire was rushed to a vet and treated immediately. Unfortunately her leg was septic so the surgeon had to amputate what was left of her leg. Claire recuperated in New York and then we flew her to LA on our Executive Directors lap. Despite her awful life before- we think she was used for breeding- Claire is a spunky, happy, sassy girl who plays well with other dogs and is good with all people. She has adjusted to bring a tripod perfectly. She deserves a truly wonderful forever home with another dog or as an only dog. We want owners who can give her lots of love , time and attention. Claire is microchipped and vaccinated and will be spayed before she is adopted out.
