My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MADISON is a two-year-old medium haired black and white male cat. Madison’s original owner wanted him to be an outside cat, so out he went. Madison lived under the porch, and a neighbor took him in. When he came to us, Madison had a nasty flea infestation, a cut leg, and was very thin. Madison also has a deep dislike of other cats, so we suspect he may have run afoul of a fellow feline or two. He was recently adopted from us, but his new owner’s hours increased dramatically at her employment, and this left Madison alone for long periods of time. Madison is a joy: he is very affectionate, knows his name, and when you call him he comes a-running! He loves to play, and we laugh to see him pouncing away on his mouse and ball, swatting them with a mighty paw then merrily giving chase. Madison is very affectionate and lovable, and one of his favorite activities is chatting with you…he talks right back. His former adopter advised us he loves to roll over, show his tummy, and cuddling is one of his favorite activities. If you’re looking for a playful fluffy friend, come meet Madison!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.
