Molly is an eight year old female Boston Terrier mix. She weighs about 34 pounds.
Molly is a very playful young lady who has recently been spayed, UTD on vaccines, heartwormnegative and microchipped.

Molly is a sweet girl who enjoys sitting by the window. She does bark at people/other dogs
walking by outside, but we are working on that. She sometimes has trouble warming up to otherdogs as well, so she will need slow introductions. We did a slow crate intro with our residentBoston and that seemed to work well.

She loves to snuggle and be loved on. She has not shown any interest in toys but tries to get ourBoston to play with her. She also enjoys going for walks and playing in the backyard – she would do great in a fenced in yard. She would be great with another play mate (after the slow intro), but at times she looks as if she wants to try and be the dominant animal.

Our Boston is analpha and does not handle that well at times.

We have not had to crate her at bedtime. We attempted this, but she cries constantly. She will goin without a struggle though. We do utilize the crate when we have trouble with aggressive play.

She is getting more used to it and crying less while inside. She is potty-trained and we have hadzero accidents in the house.

Molly ......

-would do well in a home with another dog but we have info she does not do well with cats

If you want to talk about me, please contact my foster family at the

Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee, Kentucky Region

Email me at: BTRETky@gmail.com and a foster momma or daddy will get back with you as soon as possible.

Keep in mind this is the general mailbox for the entire KY Region.

Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.

The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website

Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.

We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.

Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.

About Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee

About Our Rescue Group...

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers of our own for many years, we are familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fees generally range from $400 for pups and up, to usually four years, $275 for adults, usually $200 when we have a mixed breed Boston.

The fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying when required, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "slow kill", a monthly prevention program for heartworms, treatment for other parasites, any other vet visits or urgent medical attention required, and supplies to foster homes. It is our expectation & requirement that these same preventative routine medications be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
