My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Midge is a little 10 pound female Jack Russell Terrier and is 5 years old. Just remember....dynamite comes in small packages!!! All her vet work is done. She is a vocal little girl....very vocal! Not too bad with separation; she will bark 5 minutes and then be done, but if she wants you to play, then she will not stop barking to get your attention. Spray bottle did not work, so I am just ignoring her and stopping all play, till she stops for over a minute. She is very ball focused. No other toy matters when she has a ball, especially if it squeaks. Unless it is a Kong, it won't survive 5 minutes. If it is a Kong, then she will skin it in an hour or two. Balls are the only thing I have seen her aggressive about. She might have a career in fly ball events though. She is extremely smart! I watched her push out my desk chair to climb it, jump to the desk and jump to the kitchen counter where I put a ball into timeout. She has great reflexes and agility as well. She does well in her crate, as long as she is in another room. If she is in the same room she wants/needs to be by her human, and becomes very vocal. Walks on a leash about perfect, ignores other dogs, and just trots along like a princess. She does want to say hello to every human she meets though. She is an affectionate dog, but not a kisser, just wants to be a companion. She is a great traveler, loves car rides, and curls up for a nap very quickly. She would love a male dog to play with. Midge requires a home with no female dogs, no cats and no kids. She needs a securely fenced yard... no electronic fencing. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt her. Her adoption fee is $200. If you want to make this little dynamite a part of your family from now on, please fill out the online application at www.russellrescue.com.
