Meet sweet Penny! This gentle petite little pup is looking for a home with someone who loves to snuggle and play. Penny is a very smart little girl who is learning how to live in a house in warp speed! She is working on potty-training and progressing well. She does well in her kennel, and sleeps through the night without a peep once she is settled in. This precious puppy thrives on human affection and gentle direction. She follows her foster mom everywhere quietly, always looking up waiting to see what's next.

Penny, along with her brother Prince and sister Patti were found as tiny pups huddled together in the middle of a rural highway, where they had been dumped and left for a terrible fate. However, these special pups must have been destined for a special purpose! A human angel came upon them and miraculously was able to stop her car in time; she scooped them up and took them to a rescue where they were lovingly nursed back to health and cared for.

Penny loves people and quickly warms up to everyone she meets; she comes out of her shell more and more every day! She is very gentle with people, has been around children of all ages and is wonderful with them. She has adjusted very quickly to a very noisy, busy foster home. Penny loves other dogs and plays very sweetly (she has been around dogs of all sizes and ages and has been very respectful). She also does very well with cats, now that she knows what one is! Penny met 2 very social cats in her foster home for the very first time, and once she realized they weren’t going to hurt her, she was great with both the kitten and senior. She loves playing with toys and also loves to be in water. Penny is a loving, gentle soul and will make a WONDERFUL companion.

Penny appears to be a petite Lab mixed possibly with Spaniel, weighs 22 lbs and an estimated birthday of 1/18/17. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative and dewormed. Adoption fee is $300. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference, home ownership & fenced yard, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
