Lady's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Lady's Story...
Lady is a lovely, mature (about 7-years-old) Lab/Whippet mix who arrived at the city shelter as an already spayed, "stray" just prior to Thanksgiving. (It can't be a thankful holiday, when one loses one's home for whatever reason!) Lady was an obviously owned and presumably at one time, loved dog. She is extremely loving, gentle and trusting towards people, as well as other animals. Lady is a pleasure to walk -- never pulling and walking calmly right besides her person. She appears to be very housebroken. She would be an ideal dog for a senior citizen, loving family or less active person. She is a good size (only 38 Lbs) for a smaller city apartment. And Lady is very sweet around other animals -- both dogs and cats.
In fact, "Lady" is the perfect name for this pretty and endearing dog who is, indeed, the perfect little lady! Now, all Lady needs is a loving and committed home -- something indeed to be thankful for this holiday season!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a New York Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in New York, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
