Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Come meet CLEO. Cleo is a most beautiful 2-1/2 year old black and tan dachshund. She is a fantastic friend and your lap's constant companion. No matter what you're doing, she wants to be on your lap snoozing. She really loves to burrow under the covers and keep you warm on a cool night. Then, her favorite thing to do when she's awake is to wriggle around on her back making Snoopy sounds of glee. She also responds when you sing made up songs in her ear (the higher-pitched, the better!). There is probably nothing as benign and comforting as the little soft snoring of a Doxie and she does not disappoint. She loves to fetch her tiny little tennis ball, but has a hard time giving it up. She loves to squeak soft fleece toys and really enjoys bully sticks and real steak bones, when she can get them. Cleo needs to be your one and only pet, and no kids please.
Cleo is all up to date on the medicals (rabies, bordetella, DHPP, Advantage, spayed) and is looking particularly pretty with recent grooming and pedicure. She comes with a new leash and collar set, toys and blanket, dog food and a free exam card for her next appointment with our Doxie vet at Best Friends Veterinary Medical Center.
Perhaps if you are not quite ready or able to adopt, you might be willing to help our rescues pass their time in rescue by donating toys and long lasting chew bones. Or, have you considered becoming one of our treasured dog walkers? Any assistance would be appreciated! Just give us a call.
If thinking of adopting, please go to www.odr-inc.org and read our strict criteria and then complete our questionnaire and email it to us. We will be in touch with you as soon as we have the chance to review your application. The rescue hours for contact are 9am to 8pm. Thank you, Jenell 503-313-3220
