Ola ~
My name is Mamacita. I recently immigrated to the United States and am 4
years old. I'm not sure if I'm Poodle/Maltese/or what????. Let's have my
foster tell you a bit more about me.
Mamacita has been with us a week now. She is a wonderfully sweet little girl
whose only goal is to be loved. Her heart is golden and she only needs the
same in return. Mamacita is a bit skittish/submissive but I believe with the
love that she deserves she will return that love two-fold. She bonded with
us well in the short time that she's been here, simply through nurturing.
Mamacita tends to want to be the alpha dog. She and our SMB adoptee, Ziggy,
are settling in after a few hiccups. They have found a happy place and now
enjoy playing together.
From her initial response when walked on a leash I guessed she's never been,
yet after just a few blocks of confusion she soon realized that getting out
was enjoyable. She eagerly allows you to put her into harness and go off on
adventures. We've walked her 3 miles, stopping periodically for sips of
water.
Mamacita is quickly learning new words, inside/outside, upstairs/downstairs,
get busy(go pee), come, wait and good girl. Without a doubt she just wants
to please.
Although she was an outdoor dog with no "potty training" she sleeps in her
crate all night w/no accidents and she's been left unattended, in side, for
8 hours w/no incidents. It won't be long before she understands that outside
is the place to do her business.
She enjoys being brushed and will calmly allow you to groom her.
Mamacita will be a gift to anyone who adopts her.
