"Howdy! I'm MAX, a cute and polite Jack Russell Terrier mix who'd love to make your acquaintance. I'm a three-year-old fella who feels best sitting in a nice person's lap. I'm a youngster with an old soul, so I'll want to live in a home where life is calm and predictable. I'll be honest: I'd probably prefer a quiet, one-woman household. My new owner will need to be patient and even-keeled, as I'll need time to adjust. Once I realize that I can trust my owner, I'll feel safe, relaxed, and affectionate. I've already been house trained, and I get along nicely with other dogs. I've been completely quiet at the shelter, and I'm pretty low-key.
