My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little guy is as cute as can be!   His name is Mo!  He's an adorable 3 yr old, 9.5 lb Maltese/Terrier.  He was born on a farm in Mission and has been raised around kids and other dogs. He is playful,  friendly and affectionate - just an all around great little guy!

Mo is looking for a new home because, very sadly, his human has become ill and has had to sell their home. His human is moving to a different home but Mo will not be able to join him. It will be so hard for them to lose each other but we know that Mo will find a wonderful new family who will love and cherish him and that his human will be surrounded by people who care for him too!

Mo will be a fantastic addition to any family!  He is gentle with kids and enjoys being with adults too.  He is full of fun and loves to play but he isn't a demanding, high maintenance pup when it comes to exercise.  He is content with strolls around the neighbourhood and the occasional visit with other friendly dogs - he is a just a little timid at first. Regular outings and opportunities to socialize will help him feel more comfortable with other dogs when he meets them.

Mo knows some of the basics like sit, come, stay etc and he would probably enjoy learning a few new things when he gets to his new home .  Maltese/Terriers are usually intelligent and quick to learn -  especially if the training is short, fun and rewarding!

Mo will be best in a home where he is not left alone all day.  He is a devoted family member and thrives on the companionship of his people.  He gets anxious when his people are leaving him and barks for the first few minutes. He is a people dog and needs to spend lots of time with them !  He might be happy sharing his life with a calm, friendly dog too.  We aren't sure how he feels about cats!

He is in good health, although he has a bit of a sensitive tummy so he eats Gastrointestinal food which works for him.  He is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered.

If you are looking for a happy and loving new friend, this is the guy for you! Mo's adoption fee is $400.
