My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daffodil is now in a foster home, learning it is a safe place, and that there are people who love her. Stay tuned for more on Daffodil. Daffodils are a perennial flower, breaking through the thawing winter ground to bring forth the beauties of Spring. Daffodil is a dog found wandering alone, now cowering in her kennel at the shelter. Her breakthrough was coming off leash in the play yard, frolicking with the other dogs. Her fear of the people is slowly melting away allowing for petting and cuddles. She may never fully thaw here and her Spring may only come when someone recognizes her beauty. A volunteer writes: Spring has most certainly sprung and with it all its blooms. Peeking through the ground, delicate bulbs cautiously moving towards the sun, each one reveals itself slowly, over weeks, days, or hours, and entrust itself to our care. On the surface 1 year-old Daffodil is as delicate as they come. She is painfully shy the day that we meet hugging the back of her kennel. But over hours and days she revealed herself slowly and the Daffodil I last had the privilege to meet was exactly as she should be. A beautiful, happy, confident, playful, loving, and sensitive girl. A lover of dogs, of a comfortable lap, and the feeling of grass between her toes. Spring has most certainly sprung and with it the season’s most perfect bloom. Daffodil is up to date on shots, spayed and chipped. Please contact AmsterDog at 917 689 8414 to learn more about Daffodil.
