Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Special home needed for a sweet boy.
Say Hello to Timmy!
Timmy came to us with his litter-mates and Momma at only one day old. They were all born via cesarean and had somewhat of a tough beginning in life. Timmy was a special little guy from the get go and
required a lot of attention. He was much smaller than his brothers and sisters and his Momma did not have much interest in caring for him. Megan would be up round the clock to ensure he was nursing, and supplemented bottle feeding when necessary.
Timmy was always a bit behind, but never let it stop him from playing and being part of his pack. It was apparent though, that he was lacking somewhere. His body temperature was off, his fur did not completely grow in in certain places, and he would tire easily. After running some blood work it was determined that his little body was, and still can be at times severely anemic. His body just was not producing the red and white blood cells it needed. We began supplementing him with vitamins, liver, eggs, anything that would help him sustain the energy and feel better. He quickly learned to sit and wait patiently at the stove while we cooked up his favorite meal.
Over the past few months he has done very well and blood work has improved. He has not been diagnosed with anything specific, and could very well just be playing catch up, however the deficiencies have played a role in his appearance and sight. Although he is not blind, he does suffer with some loss of sight which may increase over time. Unfortunately, we have nothing definitive to let us know if he will be affected in other ways long term.
At 7 months old Timmy loves everyone and everything, although he can be a bit shy when first meeting people. He adores being outside hanging with the goats and sharing treats with the chickens. Timmy gets along with all dogs and cats as well. His favorite moments are spent with Georgia running through the yard, or sprawled out in the family room sharing toys. He is housebroken, crate trained and likes the car. He is neutered and current on everything.
He will certainly be missed around our home, but it's his time to have a place he can call his own and the undivided attention he so deserves. Please contact Trish @ 407-388-5954 for more information. Thank you. :)
