My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paige is approx 2.5 yrs and 42 lbs. She is an F1b Sheepadoodle,(second generation). Her dad was a Brindle Sheepadoodle and her mom Standard Chocolate Poodle. We have her paperwork from when she was purchased as a puppy from a breeder in North Texas. Her owner was a truck driver and was not home much so she was left outside in the backyard. When she was owner surrendered, she looked as though she had never been groomed she was so matted and full of burrs that the grooming took off 10 lbs of matted coat. She is a really nice dog who loves people. She was a little timid when we first got her, but now she is the foster's best friend. She does have some separation anxiety and will need a buddy for company. She also needs a fully fenced in and secure yard, no electric fences, she will go right through one. She loves to run and gallop around the yard and because of this no small children under 12 years of age and an experienced adopter. She is not suitable for an apartment . She actually seems to be petty well house trained but is not perfect if left inside for too long so will need to be able to go out on a regular basis.

The total adoption donation of $750 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in TX in foster care. Our adoption application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
