My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh boy, if any dog ever needed rescue, it was Mackinaw. Mack had been spotted wandering as a stray in rural Missouri during those 100 degree days. When Animal Control finally caught him - after over a week.- he was skinny, dehydrated, flea infested, had flea dermatitis and a nasty yeast infection on his belly. All of that is in his past now. Mackinaw (Mack) is a purebred gray and white Shih Tzu with a large, fluffy white tail.. Mack is about 5 years old and weighs 14 pounds. He gets along great with the other dogs in his multidog foster home. Mack loves to play with toys and especially likes the tennis ball. We're working on fetch! Mack seems to startle easily so might do better in a more quiet home. He is fully vetted with all shots done, microchipped, heartworm negative, on flea/hw preventive and is sporting a bright white smile after his dental cleaning. Mack's adoption fee is $250.
