My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helen is a sugary sweet dog, whose owner left her tied to a pole. We rescued Helen from a kill shelter in the nick of time. She had 6 puppies two days after we rescued her. One was a still born. The other 5 are healthy.

Helen is timid but warms-up to people quickly. She wants to be near you and be pampered. Helen did not show any food/toy/rawhide aggression when temperament tested. If you give treats to Helen, she takes them gently then follows you around like, well, a puppy dog. Helen is gentle and affectionate and she's waiting for that very special person to give her love and a home. She's a treasure, and deserves a true forever home this time around.

Helen appears to be a cross breed, Redbone Hound / Beagle / Terrier in her family tree. She's 2 yrs-old and 45 pounds. She's very thin now after giving birth but will recover soon with lots of TLC. Once she gets back her pre-puppies figure. Helen will be a knockout with her big brown eyes and reddish coat. Helen is housetrained and is not a barker. A lovely dog now weaning her puppies will be ready to go home in 8 weeks.
