Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gabe is 20 months old and came to rescue at only 6 months old. He was shut down and frozen in fear. He has made a lot of progress in the last year in foster care. He is still fearful in new situations and with new people. He has no fear aggression, just frozen or avoidance fear. Gabe functions as a normal dog at his foster home in the house & backyard. He is potty trained & loves his crate. An ideal home for Gabe will be someone home part time (or full time), who has a playful med-large female dog, someone who doesn't have a lot of visitors to the house and someone who will be patient with him the first few days-weeks especially, and throughout his life. He doesn't like to go on walks or car rides. But he is a joy, loves to play, loves to snuggle, loves to be pet, minds VERY well and is a beautiful boy who was obviously treated terribly in the first 6 months of his life before we rescued him. He needs a loving and SAFE and patient family to help him continue to heal. He will be adopted only in the Dallas/FW area. Inquiries can be sent to LoneStarDobermanRescue@gmail.com
