This gorgeous lady is Chapara. She and her family recently had a very tragic event happen, when their home burned. There were many dogs living there, and some did not make it out. Chapara was one of the lucky ones who got out, but now she doesn't feel so lucky because she is without a family and stuck in the shelter hoping someone will give her another chance. Chapara is about 8 years old and weighs 50 lbs. It does appear that many of the dogs from the house fire had been used for breeding purposes, and it's pretty obvious that Charpara falls under that category. We don't know about you, but we think it's high time this girl started living a wonderful doggie life where she is loved and cared for and not used as a puppy machine. She is current on her vaccines and upon adoption will be spayed, heartworm tested and micro chipped. Chapara's ID # is 598915 and she can be found in cage 16. Come meet her and the other homeless doggies displayed by the fire today.
