Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gil! A sweeter puppy cannot be found. He shows no signs of the rough start he had; when he came to us Gil had wounds and a broken leg, but we will never know the story behind that. He is well on his way to healing now and we’re certain he cannot wait to run and jump and play like a typical puppy once he’s out of his splint. In the meantime, he has accepted his limited mobility status like a champ. His favorite activity is working on his ground-wrestling skills with his foster sister and chewing on his puppy bones. But Gil’s little multi-colored eyes light up the most when his humans walk in the door; his tail wags uncontrollably, he whimpers cries of happiness and slithers his way into your arms or lap – whatever he can reach first. Gil loves to snuggle with his people, but is also independent enough to be content playing with a toy by himself. He currently shares his foster human’s bed with them and their resident pup, and sleeps peacefully through the night.
Gil is crate trained, potty trained and would adore a physically fenced yard and a family to include him on all their adventures! He is used to being leashed, so we imagine he’ll walk well on one as soon as he is cleared to do so. We think he’d thrive with a canine sibling in his adoptive home; we also think he would be wonderful with children of all ages. His temperament is very laid back and gentle, a true sweetheart to everyone who’s met him. With plenty of attention from his humans, Gil would also be OK with being the sole apple of your eye.
All of our dogs are neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped
