Meet Delilah. This sweet girl was rescued by our SC team after a vigilant neighbor called concerned for her welfare. Delilah was living in a small, filthy pen with her daughter, Phoebe, and they had no protection from the heat/sun or elements. She was suffering from dry eye, and was losing her coat due to scratching from fleas. It was a miserable existence. Thankfully, our volunteer was able to convince her owner that she needed vet care immediately and should be released to our custody. Delilah is now free and living in the comfort of her foster home, learning what love and family is all about.
Delilah is a social, friendly dog, that has lived with other dogs her whole life. She's very warm and friendly to people too, and adores kids. Her foster mom, Gail, walks her to the park everyday and the kids will come out to pet and play with her. Delilah loves the attention, and when the kids are not there, she's constantly looking for them. She's also great with Gail's 6 year old granddaughter, and they romp and play together when she visits.
Delilah's foster mom, Gail, describes her as "perfect" She says Delilah loves her daily walks and is great on leash. She is housetrained and crate trained too. She goes into her crate at the foot of Gail's bed every night with no issues and quietly sleeps through the night. She's probably so happy to enjoy the comfort of indoors, feeling safe and loved for the first time. She's also quite the snuggler, so if you are looking for the ultimate lap dog, Delilah is your girl.
