Meet Cooper! This charming little Chi has a super cool personality. He's curious, sweet, loves other dogs, and has definitely doesn't care that he's only 17lbs. He's confident little guy but not snarky, and really enjoys being around people.
Cooper was recently surrendered with his two pup siblings by a family who could not afford their care. It's probably the best thing that has happened to him. He's gone without vet care and flea/tick preventative for some time. He developed flea dermatitis and has lost some hair from scratching and nibbling. This is an easy fix, the fleas are going and with some meds to help his skin inflammation and a better diet, we expect this little guy's coat to be filling in soon.
Coopers foster mom reports: "He's very outgoing and friendly to everyone. Loves toys and enjoys playing with other dogs, but is very connected to his person when he's inside, likes to stay right by your side. He did not love the crate at first, but he's getting better with it every day. He is very smart, housetrained, and minds like a champ."
You can already see how relieved and happy he is...Look at that smile!
More to come on Cooper as we learn more about him in his foster home.
