Meet Maria! I'm a darling, female Shih Tzu. I'm about 7 years old and I was not treated very well before I came into rescue. I'm so glad to be clean! Being honest here, though, I'm a fear biter if someone grabs my collar (maybe due to past treatment). I'm am a bit uncomfortable being picked up still. I don’t play with any toys, but I do come and sit right next to people for petting though. I've might even jump up for affection. I will really do best with a fenced yard. I'm house trained and crate trained and I do well with cats.

My foster mom thinks I would do well in a home with or without another fur friend but if there is a fur friend for me, it's probably best if the fur sib is a quiet dog. In order to protect myself, I learned to nip so I need a home with adults only. Even though I have very few teeth, and a very cute under bite, I can eat small bite dog food just fine!
I'm up to date on my shots, heart worm negative, spayed & micro-chipped. I also had a dental completed by the rescue.
