Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Phoebe is a gorgeous purebred one-year-old Doberman. She was an owner surrender to the county shelter, but she did not come with papers. Phoebe has been busy learning all the desired dog behaviors. She is house and crate trained, and she knows the cues to sit, shake, and lie down. Phoebe is very playful and she enjoys trips to the dog park to burn off energy and play with friends. She can be left to roam the house; however, if she gets bored she will find ways to entertain herself. Phoebe will need an active home life, where she can get physical exercise and mental stimulation. She does love a good squeaky toy and considers it her job to find the soft stuffing center. The adoption fee for Phoebe is $425, which is higher than it would be under our normal fee schedule. That is because Phoebe is one of our Guardian Angel dogs. Guardian Angel dogs are highly desirable adoptees, and their increased fees are used expressly to help defray costs for our rescues with special needs such as advanced medical treatment or training for behavioral issues, or for those who are with us for unusually long periods of time. In this way the Guardian Angels directly help our other rescues! All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
