My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harmony was found living under a shed with her 2 puppies and another male Chihuahua. The home owners did not want them and threatened to kill them if someone did not get them. The male chihuahua was never found and we believe was shot and killed. A volunteer that was told about the situation did a plea to get the little family help and we stepped up. The puppies were very easy to catch and mum not so much. A live trap had to be set for her and she was caught the next day after the puppies were. She was scared to death and was pretty much feral. Her puppies got adopted very quick and it has taken Harmony a few months to know humans are not a bad thing. We actually do have some video of her from the first days with working with her. Today she is a totally different dog. She is still a bit timid and not great on a leash but will run around the fenced in yard at her foster home and play with everyone. She will chase the cat in her foster home, has never hurt the cat but does bother her. When her foster mum leaves she does not crate her and is loose with the cat and there has never been an issue when the foster mum comes home. Harmony loves to sleep near her foster mum now on the bed. In time we think she will be a lap dog but for now likes to lay next to you or behind you on the couch. She has a cute little dance with her paws and will smirk on the one side of her face. She has come around so much, it is amazing how she has bounced back. We think she would be best in a home not an apartment because of her not being great on a leash right now, where she has a fenced in yard. We also think a quite home would be best suited for her with maybe older children as a lot of noise will scare her. She is fully vetted meaning fixed, current on all shots, heartworm negative, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. Harmony is about a year old and 10lbs.
