Grommit's Story...
Grommet is a miniature schnauzer with an uncropped tail who was given up to rescue anonymously. He is very, very sweet and gentle and listens well. He is a good snuggler and loves to ride in the car. He was so dirty we thought he was a terrier mix, but after bath and haircut appears to be all schnauzer. It seems he is tolerant of cats if properly introduced, and he gets along with other dogs. He is about 2 years old and weighs 15 lbs. One of those all around great dogs!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grommit, a Los Alamitos Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Los Alamitos, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Los Alamitos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Alamitos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Alamitos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Alamitos paves the way for another one to be saved.
