My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Donny was caught in late August near Wolf-pen creek. He was living outside and the property manager does not allow the feeding of outdoor cats. Donny is friendly so someone rescued him off the street. She was considering keeping him until his vet check revealed that he has FIV (feline ummunideficiency virus) - she has a cat who does not have FIV. Donny has some broken teeth that could be from fighting. Donny needs a home with no other cats or where all other cats also have FIV. This virus compromises his immune system and can be transmitted to other cats through deep bite wounds, so he must be kept strictly indoors cat and be given quality nutrition and vet care.

Donny is a super friendly kitty, he loves being petting and getting attention from people, but we think he has fought with other cats in the past. Neutering should lessen any tendency to fight but we do not recommend risking having him live with cats who do not have FIV. He is fairly calm and loves cuddling. He is about 1-2 years old (his teeth are clean). He purrs a lot and will rub his head up against your hand while begging for attention. He is good about using the litter box. He's pretty laid back and would make a good family pet. He doesn't mind being picked up and is good about being brushed.

Donny looks like a white with blue eyes Ragdoll but since he was found as a stray, the chances of his being purebred are slim. We do not think he is deaf. He tested negative for FeLV, positive for FIV, has been neutered, microchipped for identification, and vaccinated against rabies and FVRCP. His adoption fee is $40. He is also available to foster if you can keep him inside and away from other cats, plus bring him to adoption events in College Station on Saturday afternoons.

If you want to foster or adopt Donny, email BCSSpayDay@gmail.com for an adoption application. He will be coming to adoption events 2-5pm most Saturdays at the College Station Petsmart on University (back by the cat litter). or we can arrange an individual meeting during the week.
