Patches's Story...
This is Patches. Her owners say that she is a Dachshund / Queensland Heeler mixed adult female. As you can see, she is white with red speckling and has some black patches as well. Her owners say that she is an excellent dog. They estimate her to be about 1 yr old and about 15 lbs. Patches is currently an inside dog and has been trained to use potty pads. (Their current housing situation does not have a fenced in yard for her so she has been trained to use the potty pads inside instead.) Patches is excellent with young children and seems to love them. They say that she is a bit afraid with large breed dogs but does well with other medium and small sized dogs. She has not had any formal obedience training, but seems very smart and knows several commands, (NO, Sit, lay down, roll over, Hands up (she puts her paws up over her head), go to sleep (she likes to sleep with her head on the pillow), and more. She is a goofy little girl that will make you laugh. Patches loves to go for walks and walks well on her leash. Her owners say that she rides well in the car too. This little girl would make someone a wonderful family friend.
Her owner regrets that they can no longer keep her. They realize that they do not have a fenced in yard for her and their home is becoming too small for all the family members to keep her. They are hoping to find a loving family for her with a yard for her to run and play in as well as be allowed to be an inside family member of the household.

If you are interested in finding out more information about Patches or interested in adopting her, please contact Gina via email: roya1lity@yahoo.com or via phone: 209-814-9580. Patches is currently located in Tracy, CA. She is current on vaccinations but not yet spayed. Her owners would consider a long distance adoption for a good home. Thanks for considering a rescued pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Tracy Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund for sale in Tracy, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Tracy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tracy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tracy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tracy paves the way for another one to be saved.
