Bentley, Beamer and Porshe have the saddest story! All three of them are bout 8 years old, which is young for a yorkie and they all weigh 5 lbs each. An elderly man on his way to the funeral home out in the country saw 4 little bitty dogs on the side of the road. Unfortunately he had to keep going. On the way home he saw them again but one had been killed by a car. He stopped and picked them up. They were in such horrible condition, matted to the skin and soaked in urine to where it looked like they had stiff armour on. Their faces were so matted they couldn't see. But they were friendly to him and seemed very sweet. He knew if he took them to the pound they would euthanize them so he brought them to a vet clinic that called us. we took them right to the vet where we had to shave them down to the skin, bath them and check them out. Bentley ended up having an egg-sized bladder stone removed as well as a thorough dental. He is now healthy, getting very handsome and so sweet. We marvel all the time about these dogs. They have no reason in the world to love or trust humans and yet they do. None of them ever growled or snapped at us one time through everything. Now we want the precious boy to get the loving home he deserves and has waited so patiently for. He likes everyone but we are going to say no to small children just because they are small and fragile and also because they deserve a little quieter life at this point.
