Milly's Story...
Our Milly is a gorgeous purebred black female Lab. She is about 2 years old and weighs about 70lbs. Milly came to us when her family could not keep her anymore and turned her in to one of Adopt A Lab member shelters. She was so scared to be at the shelter. She did not know what it meant when they said her family could not afford her anymore.

Milly was very happy when her foster mom picked her up from the shelter. We think she thought she was finally going home. It took her three of four days to settle in and want to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She did not eat at first because she was so sad.

Milly has become a very happy Lab in her foster home and her foster parents have really worked with her to let her know she is loved. We feel like Milly is ready to move forward to an adoptive home. She doesn't know how good life can be and we know with an AAL adopter she will find a quality home with the right family.

We would prefer to put Milly with an adult family as that is what she is used to in her foster home. We do not think she is bad with children, we just want to make sure she gets most of the attention!

If you are looking for a loyal, very sweet Lab girl please apply for our Milly. Please promise to be gentle and kind to her and she will love you forever.

Milly is spayed and up to date on all her vet care.

If you would like to adopt Milly, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Milly, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
