My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunner is a sweet boy who was in dire need of rescue. He seems to have never been in a house before, so of course was NOT house broken or crate trained. He has come a long way already. He learned the pet door immediately, but still thought he could mark where ever he chose. Gunner now knows better.

Crates were new to him too, and now that he sees other dogs in a crate with no problem he is doing much better. He has a happy disposition and wants to play and be near other dogs and people. Since he still has his cone on after neuter, this is a bit awkward right now.

We will also get some better pictures of him once it is removed and he has had a bath.

Sadly, he is heartworm positive, and has started on doxycycline pre-treatment, or slow kill, whichever the adopter prefers. Many of the dogs we get are heartworm positive and treatment is provided by the rescue. He is a handsome boy and will make someone a great pet.
