Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Eleanor is a beautiful, sweet, and playful 2-year-old Merle Dane who loves to cuddle. As much as she enjoys running around the back yard and sunbathing, she would sleep inside all day if she got to cuddle with her people. She is a heavy sleeper and is very content where ever she ends up after she falls asleep. She is unsure of new people at first, but quickly warms up to anyone who will give her head scratches. She enjoys walks and even spins in circles to show her excitement when the leash comes out. She is a great leash walker, but it is hard for her to handle her fear if other dogs get too close. While she currently lives with a male Dane with no issues, strange dogs are an issue and it takes some time with proper introductions before she is comfortable around them.
She does have some anxiety being home alone and enjoys reading (chewing) books if not crated. She does not love her crate, but she very good about going inside when it is time without much coaxing. Eleanor is a sweet and loyal companion that needs someone(s) that is willing to continue working with her on training and that will give her lots of love and attention.
Eleanor is not fond of small kids as they are noisy and move too fast so she will not be placed in a home with children. Given that she has some anxiety issues there will be a training requirement as part of her adoption contract to help her to work thru her issues and become a really great dog. She would do best in a home with an experienced adopter who can commit to working on her issues with her. Once she is able to relax and get comfortable she is a really sweet girl who would make a fantastic companion.

Eleanor is a sweet, happy Dane who loves most people! She does have difficulties getting along with other dogs at first, but after five days, she was right at home with her foster Dane brother. She is potty trained, very easy-going, and I have seen no food or toy aggression with her. She loves to ride in the car as well as go for walks! Eleanor knows a few commands and catches on very quickly to new ones! She is truly a Velcro Dane as she loves to be right beside you and loves to cuddle, and her tail is usually wagging!
