RESCUED when her owners passed away and their Hospice nurse took in both Luna(dob:~3/15/16..weighs 10lbs) and an unaltered male Min Pin(adopted), just 2 wks before Luna gave birth to her babies.
6wks after their birth:(07/15/17), Hospice nurse(lives in an apt & isn't allowed to have pets) contacted H4S CARes to see if we could help her in taking Luna and her 4(just weaned) pups and find them all RESPONSIBLE, LOVING HOMES...YES! OF COURSE! We had the room!
Miss Luna, as best as we can tell, is a Jack Russell and Chihuahua X. She weighs just 14lbs and is a sweet little snuggle-bum. Smart, gets along well with all dogs, all sizes & energy-levels. Friendly, outgoing, happy, healthy and gentle. Not as hyper as your typical JRT; with decent exercise(long walks 3Xs day), she wouldn't require much room.
WARNING: WILL JUMP/CLIMB 4' chain-link and 4' baby gate(that's the JACK in her)!
SEEKING: active family with older, respectful kids OR active work-from-home couple. MUST be kept on-leash at all times, if not in a secured/stockade fence with wire 'dig barrier' at bottom/under constant supervision. Apartments OK, with commitment basic obedience training course & at least 3 walks daily(1>2miR/T, 3Xday) and an hr of 'play time' at dog park in small dog section=2X wk. That should keep her quite happy and contented! WANTS TO BE WITH HER PERSON, whenever possible...that's why we've learned that she will jump a fence.
Adoption fee: $225(includes spay, micro-chip, Parvo-Distemper, Bordatella and 1 yr Rabies vaccinations, parasite-
Luna should be fully recovered from her spay surgery and ready to go to her fur-ever home on SAT/SEPT 30th.
All potential adopters are required to be at least 25 yrs old and complete the application below, at your earliest convenience, to help secure the pup of your choice. PLEASE, state 1st choice and 2nd choice pups!----------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OR, IF you feel that you have found a better match for the dog, H4S MUST approve the transfer of the dog BEFORE the dog is allowed to be re-homed.
This way, the future of the adopted dog/pup, and yours, will never be in question.
