Maddie's Story...
Maddie is a sweet little puppy who loves other dogs! She is high energy and would do great in a home with another playful dog, but also enjoys a good cuddle with her humans too! She is a very quick learner and has learned which dogs are fun to play with, and which ones are cranky, and respects that. She is well on her way to being potty trained and is great in her kennel at night time. Maddie’s foster home doesn’t have cats but when she has been around cats at the vet clinic she ignores them. Maddie would make a wonderful addition to any home and can’t wait for her forever home

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Okotoks Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
