Hi - My name is Charlotte and I am a 2 year old female Beagle. I am 27 pounds. My foster Mom recently put me on a diet as I am a little over weigh. I could benefit from regular walks and exercise. I was abandoned wearing a child's Disney backpack. That is probably why I look so confused in the picture of me wearing the backpack. I did have ticks and fleas and perhaps my owner couldn't handle this. I have since been to the vet and had all ticks removed and received a recent tick/flea treatment. The homeowner that discovered me in their front yard opened the backpack to find a bottle of dog tick shampoo and tick treatment medication inside.
The backpack was so tight that I couldn't walk so the nice couple that found me cut it off and waited with me until Valley Dogs Rescue could take me that very hot day. I am now tick/flea free and am a very happy girl! Now I am in foster with Valley Dogs Rescue and I have really blossomed. I am very playful and friendly with both people and dogs.
I have a sweet, loving disposition. I am kennel and house trained. I can't say if I have been around cats as there is no history prior to my rescue. If you have young children, we can have a meet and greet as we don't know if I have been around young children. I am up to date on vaccinations, spayed and micro chipped.
