My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam is Adopted

Sam is currently fostered in Sandy Hook KY and his adoption fee/donation is $250

Update 10-25-17 Sam will be undergoing the fast kill treatment for heartworms soon and will be available when it is completed

Sam is a 6 yr old tri colored male cocker spaniel, he was surrendered to our rescue due to his owner going into a nursing home.

Sam is a great dog, he is loving, affectionate, well behaved, docile and loyal. He has a sweet personality, always wanting to give love, he truly is a gem. He is housetrained, and good when left alone in the home. We cant say enough about all of his great qualities. He adores children and is very good with them. He MUST be an ONLY ANIMAL IN THE HOME HOWEVER, he is NOT good with other dogs or cats, he just LOVES PEOPLE!!!

Sam is generally in good health, however he has been undergoing the "slow kill" method of heartworm treatment for the past year. His owner was giving him ivermectin injections through his veterinarian, along with the monthly heart guard. We do not usually use this method of treating heart worms in our rescue dogs. Our plan is to consult with our vet to determine if we will continue this treatment, or go with the standard Immiticide injections.
Sam is A-symptomatic, and shows no signs of any heartworm issues, he is the picture of health overall.

Sam is neutered, up to date on vaccines.
